Office distractions revealed

Unnecessary meetings and loud talkers are revealed as the top distractions for British workers, a recent survey reveals. A survey commissioned by Samsung Electronics has shown that British workers only work an average of 22 minutes at a time before becoming distracted, resulting in 70 working days a year being considered unproductive.

Furthermore, the survey claims that distractions in the work place are costing the British economy £250 million every year.

 The top worker distractions are:

  1.         Loud talkers (57%)
  2.         Ringing phones (39%)
  3.         Unnecessary meetings (26%)
  4.         Constant emails (22%)
  5.         Making tea rounds (19%)
  6.         Office gossip (16%)
  7.         People typing loudly (12%)
