How purpose and beliefs can help organisations respond to the pandemic

What is the purpose of your business? Who do you serve? Purpose has been rising in importance over the past few years, in response to cultural and societal shifts. Now the Covid-19 pandemic is testing our humanity and values in new ways, exposing deep vulnerabilities and, for many businesses, triggering a crisis of self-confidence like never before. In times like this, people look for the humanity in businesses, and purpose brings that.

As we start 2021, and reflect on the challenges in the months ahead, it’s clear that uncertainty and speed of change are here to stay. In a context where bottom-up solutions are increasingly important, where activism is growing, and where people feel that work is often the only way they can have impact, purpose is what guides focused and consistent action.

In this session we’ll explore:
• what we’ve learned from the experience of 2020, and what this means for the future
• how a focus on purpose can help transform the culture of an organisation
• how employees and customers can also be brought along
• how you can achieve lasting impacts
• and what the pathway to purpose entails.
