Sustainability 2021: what have we learnt from the Covid-19 dry run?

The Discovery Session, which is free of charge, will be held digitally via Zoom from 9.30am to 11.30am on Thursday, 1 October.

In many ways, the Covid-19 crisis can be seen as a proxy for the sustainability challenges ahead of us. The current emergency is an opportunity for companies to assess how effectively they tackle an ever- growing range of environmental, social and governance challenges. The risk of a pandemic was known, and yet the crisis has exposed a lack of adaptability and resilience across many businesses. As such, it helped shed light on the gap between aspirational commitment and true preparedness.

As we approach the end of a year of unprecedented challenges, we reflect on what we’ve learnt from the Covid-19 emergency and how we can apply this newfound knowledge to drive business sustainability and resilience.

Led by Caroline Leroi and Tim Parr and building on How on Earth’s decades-long experience, the session will focus on practical ways to drive sustainability after Covid-19. We will share our thoughts on what the future holds, and introduce attendees to concepts, case studies, and do’s and don’ts to unlock change. The session will be interactive and will provide an opportunity for attendees to explore their own challenges with a like-minded group of senior professionals.
