Royal Mail is the UK’s leading postal service and courier company, with £13bn annual revenue. Its 85,000 posties walk up to a billion steps a day, and deliver to around 32 million addresses.
Royal Mail Group asked for our help to position sustainability at the heart of its operations and communications. Our specific challenge was to create and apply a new, cohesive visual identity and name-style to build fresh awareness and pride in the organisation’s environment strategy and waste reduction activities.
‘Let’s Deliver’ was designed as a unifying and uplifting call to action to everyone to come together and play their part. Strong use of iconography ensured that the solution could be successfully applied across the six strands of Royal Mail Group’s environmental activity and communications, and sit comfortably within the main Group brand style.
The flexible Let’s Deliver look and feel, supported by templates and guidance for managers, has already been applied to a new campaign and associated workplace materials. These are designed to further promote recycling and other sustainability behaviours by employees, in particular to reduce contamination within waste collection streams.
